How Do GPS Fleet Management and Tracking Systems Work?

In order to implement the system, the vehicle is equipped with a telematics device. For personal tracking, a portable telematics unit the size of a mobile phone. The unit sends the GPS and other status information to the server using the GSM network where it is stored so that the user can access it at any time from his computer via internet.

Operation area: the system can accumulate data all over the world and send it when GSM coverage becomes available.

In case of stationary version the server and JS Baltija 2 Professional access software is located with the customer.

GPS tracking

The main features used for a particular period of time:

Warning messages

The system can send warning messages to the user's e-mail or mobile phone, for example, about unauthorised use of vehicle or movement beyond the permitted area and other events selected by the user.

Telematics units with GPS receivers

   The task of the telematics unit is to collect vehicle data measured at a certain time and location and forward it for storage.
